On Thursday, July 17, the Chapter lost a much-loved long time member, Henry (Hank) Burke. In Vietnam Hank served with the 1st of the 5th, 1st  Cav. Division. He received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star with a V Device for valor for his actions in combat in 1966. Associate Member Philip Napoli has co-curated an exhibition of oral histories of Brooklyn's Vietnam veterans, including chapter member Danny Friedman, at the Brooklyn Historical Society. The Exhibition is entitled In Our Own Words: Portraits of New York's Vietnam Veterans.
